Is a calculated label really FDA-compliant?

Yes — FDA explicitly permits the database calculation method for Nutrition Facts. Lab testing is optional, not required.

Do I even need a label?

Rules vary by state and sales channel. Many cottage-food sales are exempt until you enter retail — but retailers demand labels regardless. We include a quick state checklist.

What about EU labels?

US FDA format first. EU (Regulation 1169/2011) is on the roadmap — tell us if you need it.
